Monica + Micheal | Wind in the Willows Fall Wedding | Grantville, Pennsylvania Wedding and Portrait Photographer
This past fall, I had the incredible honor of spending October 10, 2020—the most sought-after wedding date of the year—with Monica and Micheal. (Yes, it’s spelled E before A—a detail I’ll never forget!) As a full-time Lancaster wedding photographer and Hershey wedding photographer, I had originally been booked for that date and turned away several inquiries. But as fate would have it, my original couple postponed due to the pandemic, and Monica and Micheal reached out at just the right moment.
I’ve always believed that everything happens for a reason, even when the “why” doesn’t reveal itself right away. It was clear from the moment I arrived that I was meant to be there to capture this beautiful celebration.
What made this wedding even more unique was that I hadn’t spoken to the bride or groom directly before the big day. All communication was handled by Monica’s best friend through Instagram. Let me just say—everyone needs a friend like that in their life! Planning a wedding in 2020 was no small task, and I’m sure her support allowed Monica and Micheal to truly focus on their love and commitment.
The celebration took place at the breathtaking Wind in the Willows venue, a dream location for any Hershey wedding photographer or Lancaster wedding photographer. I arrived prepared for anything—and the day unfolded more perfectly than I could have imagined. The decor was a picture of elegant simplicity, with lush eucalyptus, and vibrant red and white roses bringing warmth and romance to every corner.
Some of the most unforgettable moments included an emotional first look, Micheal serenading Monica during portraits, and our whimsical rowboat session just before sunset. That golden hour glow was the icing on the cake—it felt like nature itself was celebrating their love.
Monica and Micheal, thank you for trusting me to capture your day. Being part of your wedding was a true joy, and I’m so grateful our paths crossed. I wish you a lifetime filled with laughter, love, and unforgettable adventures.
If you're searching for a passionate and experienced Hershey wedding photographer or Lancaster wedding photographer to document your big day, I’d be honored to be part of your story.
