Bar and Bat Mitzvah Information

My Photography Approach

My style is best described as photojournalistic and unobtrusive. I offer gentle guidance when needed, but for the most part, I allow moments to unfold naturally. My goal is for you and your child to be fully present — celebrating, connecting, and enjoying time with family and friends — not posing for the camera all day. This is your milestone, and I believe it should be experienced, not staged.

My Editing Style

Much of the artistry happens after your event, where I carefully and thoughtfully edit each image by hand. My signature look is vibrant, bold, and true-to-life, with a touch of warmth and subtle moodiness that adds depth without feeling trendy or overdone. I also selectively incorporate black-and-white images when emotion, light, or storytelling calls for it. These timeless edits often become family favorites. If you’d like to see examples, I invite you to browse my blog for a feel of how this style comes to life.

Mitzvah Collections & Booking Details

Please take a moment to review the mitzvah collections below, and don’t hesitate to reach out with any questions or to reserve your date. If you need more or less coverage — or would like to adjust the amount of time with a second photographer — I’m always happy to create a customized collection tailored to your event timeline and priorities.

To officially reserve your date, I require a signed contract and a non-refundable $1,500 retainer, which secures your event and removes the date from my calendar. Fifty percent (50%) of the remaining balance is due four months prior to your mitzvah, with the final balance due one month before the event.

Not sure how many hours of coverage you’ll need? I’m more than happy to help guide you during our initial consultation — it’s something I walk families through all the time.

All collections include high-resolution, professionally edited digital images, delivered in a private online gallery that remains active for at least one year. Families love that guests are able to download images directly from the gallery at no additional cost.

Travel Coverage

Not local? No problem at all. I love photographing mitzvahs in new places and am happy to travel wherever your celebration takes place. As long as travel expenses are covered, distance will never be a barrier to working together.

INTERESTED? PLEASE REACH OUT AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!
